Become Financially Empowered

The Racine Financial Empowerment Center (FEC)’s services are available to all City residents regardless of income.

The Racine FEC opened in December of 2020 and already has helped nearly 200 City residents. These City residents using the FEC have already reduced $200,000 in debts, increased their savings by almost $80,000, and dozens have raised their credit scores by 35+ points!

The Racine FEC’s professional, certified financial counselors can help you reduce your debts, improve your credit, create a budget, grow your savings, connect to safe and affordable financial products, plan for home ownership, and much more. Our counselors will become your personal financial coaches, helping you make a plan that’s realistic for you, and encouraging and empowering you every step of the way to achieve your financial goals!

Make your first appointment with the Racine FEC here or by calling 262-200-0831. Learn more about the Racine FEC here, or on our Facebook page.

It has been two years since GROW Racine has been launched out of Mayor Cory Mason’s office to bring free and beneficial resources to those in the middle class of Racine.

From providing local youth the opportunity to work for the City of Racine, Youth Employment Program, providing financial literacy to City of Racine residents with the City of Racine Financial Empowerment Center, to helping residents afford the rising cost of living while earning a high school equivalency diploma with the YWCA Southeast Wisconsin, receiving paid pre-apprenticeship training with WRTP / BIG STEP and getting city grants to improve or repair their home- GROW Racine has vowed to improve the lives of City of Racine residents and their way of living!

We are excited to continue on this journey with GROW Racine and its programs. Make sure to visit us at www.growracine.org and learn more about your capabilities. Here is to growing residents’ opportunities and wealth! 🥂🎉
